Yes it is mirrored. But the purpose of mirrored lenses in skiing isn't to keep your eyes hidden. It actually shows more contrast on the snow. This will make bright days extra bright but on a cloudy or foggy day when everything looks white, they will help you see the shape of the ground better. That way if a bump in the snow is coming, you can see it coming and be ready for it.
