So my brother's birthday is coming up I can't decide what to get him. He likes military type stuff goggles, lights, knives that sort of stuff. I can only spend $200 what are some things i can get him?

How do i open a bank account?

I recently turned 18, and now that I'm old enough I want to open a savings and/or checking account. I do not want a joint account with my parents, because they have a history of stealing money from me. Which bank is the best to use? How much of an initial deposit do banks normally ask for? Am I able to get a credit card so I can start building credit? I'm also wondering if I need to be employed when I open it.. I recently quit my job and have enough money to get me through the summer. When I start college in the fall, I will be finding a new job. Thanks

Hard time breathing in swimming pool?

So, today I had my first swimming lesson. They told us to walk in the water towards the side with our chin touching the water. I had a really hard time breathing here and my chest felt tight. I had to force the air to go through. When my head was out of the water, I was completely fine. I don't have asthma and I've swam before so I don't think it's a phobia. Although, I've been worried about water getting in my eyes since I wear contacts and it worries me. In fact, water went into my goggles this morning. Is something wrong with my lungs?

How do I get a debit card?

I am 18 about to leave for college in the fall and I would like to sign up for a debit card. I'm opening a checking account before I leave for school, but my over analytical mother does not want me to get a debit/credit card because she thinks I'm going to run around crazy with it once I'm gone. That is absolutely not the case. I'm an extremely responsible person and if you know me you'll know how true that is. She's just paranoid and...well yeah. So when I get the chance I would like to go down to the bank and sign up for one but I'm not entirely familiar with the process. What do I have to do/bring with me in order to get one? I'm not trying to sneaky or secretive about it, if my mom finds out it's fine, but I'd prefer to just get it on my own without her hassling me. Can someone please help? Oh and what is the process after I obtain it as far as usage, deposits, etc?

No, you can't stop being drunk while driving, but the goggles can be taken off while driving. so, all they can do is give you a ticket - i know for a fact.

If the owner offers to fix the problems,but I no longer want the house,can I still get my deposit back.?

I put a bid and deposit on a house that failed inspection. The owners offered to fix the problems (Worn out roof,old plumbing,and electrical)but I have already found a house that is ready to move in to.I was told my my RA that I have to let them fix the problem,but I just do not want the house.I was also told that I can not get out of the agreement,nor can I get my deposit back.Is there anything that I can do to get out of this nightmare.Can they really hold on to my deposit and make me stay in a contract for a house that I do not want,that has failed inspection?
